There are many photos coming in from Pennsylvania where Transformers 2 is currently being filmed. There is also information about story from the film which is that all the characters from the first film are still here. Michael Bay, the director, says, "Let's just say [this] is not a lame sequel." He also went on to say that Transformers 2 is the last in the series, unlike how Matrix Reloaded finished off with an end that led directly into Matrix Revolutions.
For one, the robots will be more complex than the first. Personally, I thought the graphics of the first Transformers movie were quite exceptional. And the problem with graphics is that they tend to give a decreasing rate of return. In other words, going from stick figures to cartoons is a big difference, but going from the graphics of Finding Nemo to Shrek is not a big difference at all (actually other than 3-D graphics guys, most people don't notice the difference).
